NOTE: The newer kernels that are released with Linux today seem to have
really effected Falken BBS and the software that is related to it. This
problem is actually with in the kernel it's self, as a memory section
has been changed. This has broken a lot of the modules, doors and such
that were distributed with Falken BBS previously. This release mainly
fixes that memory problem, thus allowing the Sysop to continue to use
The Newsroom if he or she wishes to upgrade to a newer kernel release.

The Newsroom has successfully been compiled and tested on the following;
Intel Pentium I/133MHZ, Falken BBS 11.06, Mandrake-Linux 6.1/2.2.13-4mdk

In final words, you must be running atleast the above stated, any older
versions may, or may not work. I have not tested outside of my own site
or on the other machines that I have available to me. You are more then
welcome to contact me if you do any testing for yourself. As of today,
December 20, 1999 the 1.0.7 release of The Newsroom is the latest
release.
